Now our OP has his answer, a little anecdote. Our first trip to the UK was by channel ferry (I met Wifey in Italy of all places).Reading the blurb I discovered that she needed a landing card and I should ask the crew for one.Luckily I asked early on, because about 15 minutes before we docked one was finally found, complete with a crayon drawing of somebodies cat (or maybe it was a dog, or a dragon) on the front. Evidently the last one on board. The chap at Dover had a beaming grin when he stamped my (then girlfriend) into the UK. I did ask one of the Border Force Officers on our last visit in December about the previous announcement that they were going to be phased out, but he had no idea when they were going to be abolished. In the meantime:Hi, do you still have another copy of the UK Landing Card? I tried opening the file you attached and it said 'The page you are trying to access is not available for your account.' Please provide another PDF file for the UK Landing Card. I know it was phased out but I really need it.Edited April 23, 2018 by John DowellAdd attachment.

The exact wording on UK landing cards however does not ask for the place where you will be staying or for “first night” address the exact wording is “Contact address in the UK (in full)”. So, given your hostel is just for a few nights, your contact address should be the University accommodation. Can someone possibly confirm if the picture below is of the UK Landing Card which is currently in use?
